چکیده
Porcine DNA authentication in commercial products is critical due to improper or non-certified Halal logo on its packaging. This study detected the presence of porcine particularly processed meat sold Sarawak. A total 75 samples were collected, consisting poultry, beef, and seafood products. was isolated amplified a polymerase chain reaction that targeted cytochrome B (cytb) mitochondrial D-loop. PCR analysed via gel electrophoresis viewed through documentation. The positive result observed 5 samples: 3 from poultry 2 beef. band at an amplicon size 174 base pairs for whereas 100 beef absent Positive validated sequencing. Nucleotide sequences sequencing compared with database using Basic Local Alignment Search Tool (BLAST). BLAST analysis indicated percentages ranging 96.83% 100%, demonstrating high similarity DNA; one labelled foreign logo. In summary, this provides groundwork further inspection status commercially available
